Jitu Patwari, co-chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Congress campaign committee, stated that the party is expected to win more than 150 seats in the upcoming assembly polls. Patwari claimed that there is a strong public opinion in favor of the Congress party, with an “electoral tsunami” supporting them. He also criticized the ruling BJP, alleging that the state is in debt, farmers are struggling, and there is a lack of jobs for the youth. Another Congress candidate, Sanjay Shukla, accused the BJP of using money power and goons to influence voters.
