A dispute has arisen between the Congress and BJP in Karnataka after a large amount of unaccounted cash was recovered during recent Income Tax raids in Bengaluru. The BJP claims that the money is linked to the Congress party, while the Chief Minister denies this. The BJP plans to hold demonstrations demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister and his deputy. The BJP also accuses the Congress of running an “ATM government” to fund elections in five states. Income Tax raids have so far seized over Rs 50 crore.
