The upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh are crucial for the BJP and Congress. The number of seats each party wins in these states will determine their political leverage. In Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Chouhan’s prospects of remaining as CM depend on the BJP’s tally of 110-120 seats. In Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje’s chances improve if BJP wins between 95-105 seats. Raman Singh’s son may have a role in Chhattisgarh if BJP defeats Congress. On the Congress side, Ashok Gehlot’s chances of continuing as CM in Rajasthan are better if Congress gets 90-100 seats. Kamal Nath is the obvious choice for CM in Madhya Pradesh, but if Congress gets around 130 seats, future leadership may be considered. Bhupesh Baghel needs around 50-60 seats in Chhattisgarh to secure his leadership position.
