The Congress party has accused the government of using the Indian Army for political publicity and has called for the intervention of President Droupadi Murmu. This comes after a media report claimed that the Army would help publicize government schemes. Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary, communications, stated that the Army should not be involved in internal politics and called the government’s actions a dangerous step.
