Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being more concerned about the Israel-Hamas conflict than the ethnic conflict in Manipur. Gandhi highlighted the division of Manipur into two states along ethnic lines and accused the BJP of attacking different communities, religions, and languages, spreading hatred and violence. He asserted that the Congress had brought peace to Mizoram in 1986 with a peace accord.
