Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah rejects poll funding claims after I-T raids unearth Rs 82 cr
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has denied allegations that the Congress party is using funds from the state to finance its campaign expenses in upcoming assembly elections in other states. The denial follows attacks by the opposition BJP and JD(S) over the recovery of Rs 82 crore ($11.1m) in cash during raids on two contractors in Bengaluru. Siddaramaiah stated that the party high command has not requested any money and the allegations are false.
