Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar has called the “cash for query” allegations against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra “shocking and shameful.” He stated that if the allegations are proven true, it would be a misuse of parliamentary questions. Chandrasekhar mentioned that the company allegedly involved in the matter had lobbied for data localization and that the language used in the parliamentary question was similar to what the company’s head had used when they met him. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has demanded an inquiry committee against Moitra based on allegations of bribery.
