The Congress party has accused the Modi government of silencing independent voices after the reported revocation of the suspension of IIPS Director K S James. The government allegedly suspended James for collecting data that was inconvenient to them. Although the suspension has been revoked and James’ resignation accepted, the Congress party sees it as a face-saving move by the government.
