Rahul Gandhi moves Bombay HC against defamation case over remarks linking RSS to Gauri Lankesh murder
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has approached the Bombay High Court to dismiss a defamation complaint against him regarding his remarks linking the RSS with the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh. Gandhi argues that his case should not be combined with that of CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury as they belong to different political parties with distinct ideologies. The magistrate's court had rejected their joint application for dismissal, leading Gandhi to file the petition. Gandhi faces multiple defamation cases across the country, including the conviction that was later stayed by the Supreme Court.
