Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has promised turmeric farmers in Telangana a support price of Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 per quintal if his party is elected to power in the upcoming assembly polls. He also pledged that farmers would receive Rs 500 more than the Minimum Support Price for every crop they grow. Additionally, Gandhi stated that the Congress would revive a sugar factory in the region.
