Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has clarified that there is confusion within the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) in Kerala regarding his party’s alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka. Gowda stated that he never claimed the CPI(M) in Kerala supported the alliance. He also criticized CPI(M) leaders for not understanding his statement and called for better communication.
