Actor Gautami Tadimalla has ended her 25-year association with the BJP, citing support from some party members to a person who allegedly cheated her. Despite the party’s assurance of giving her a ticket in the 2021 Assembly polls, she decided to resign due to a lack of support and alleged betrayal of trust. Tadimalla expressed hope for justice through the police and judicial system and mentioned her commitment to the party despite the rescinded assurance. She accused senior party members of enabling the person who cheated her.
