Apna Dal (Sonelal), a key ally of the ruling BJP, will intensify its demand for a caste-based census at its foundation program in Ayodhya next month. The party has been advocating for a caste-based census since its inception, in line with its founder Sonelal Patel’s desire for resource allocation based on population percentage. Party president Anupriya Patel, who herself belongs to the OBC community, will also call for an increase in the income cap for the OBC creamy layer. Apna Dal (Sonelal) aims to address these issues at its upcoming rally on November 4.
