Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has urged voters in Kanakapura not to sell their farmland to Bengalureans, as he believes the taluk will eventually merge with Bengaluru, causing land prices to increase. Shivakumar, who has won from the taluk eight times, stated that he cannot provide financial support or build houses for the voters, but believes that the value of their property will increase tenfold.
