In the gram panchayat elections in Maharashtra, the BJP emerged as the leading party by winning 717 gram panchayats out of 2,226 results announced, followed by the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP with 407 victories. The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena secured 262 seats, while the Congress won 207 seats.
