All sectoral indices were in the red. Nifty IT declined 0.6%, and Nifty Financial Services fell 0.57%. Nifty Bank, Auto, FMCG, Media, Metal, Pharma, and Realty sectors also opened lower. In the broader market, Nifty Midcap100 plunged 0.4%, and Smallcap100 fell 0.22%.
