The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 54.77 points, or 0.16%, to 34,337.87, the S&P 500 lost 3.69 points, or 0.08%, to 4,411.55 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 30.37 points, or 0.22%, to 13,767.74.
