The JDS had constituted a Raitha Santwana Yatre to assess the drought situation across the state last month, and presented the report to the governor on Sunday. The party said the present crop relief proposed for farmers under the state disaster relief fund was only Rs 3445.15 crore, which did not meet even 10% cost of the agricultural operations.
