N Biren Singh and former Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga had a bitter relationship after large-scale violence broke out on May 3 and a large number of people from Manipur hills took shelter in Mizoram. From some quarters it was accused that Zoramthanga was meddling with the internal affairs of Manipur.
