Tribal leader and former Union Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has been chosen as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sai pledged to work with honesty and fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ promises. He stated that the first task would be to provide 18 lakh ‘Awas’ to the people. Sai, a prominent figure in the BJP, won the recent assembly polls from Kunkuri in north Chhattisgarh.
