Shah also withdrew the earlier bills and re-introduced three bills in the Lok Sabha – after incorporating some amendments suggested by the standing committee on the criminal laws – to replace criminal laws in the country. He rejected the Opposition’s demand for referring the bills to a joint select committee to be debated and passed later this week.
