I use this checklist when such sudden moves happen:

1. Is this stock going down alone or is it in line with broad market move?
2. 10-20% down move in a day is to be expected in most mid & smallcaps with no reason & rhyme
3. If the broad market is going down without any macro geopolitical events, it will be attributed to many reasons – profit booking, f&o expiry, blah
4. This is a good opportunity to buy more if my conviction is still strong
