The Karnataka CM has been in Delhi to pursue the State’s requests for funds. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum seeking immediate release of Rs 18,177 crore, explaining the wide-spread drought situation. Soon after his meeting with the PM, Siddaramaiah had, on Tuesday, blamed Shah led high-powered committee for the inordinate delay in Karnataka not getting timely funds for providing succour to affected farmers despite the state submitting memoranda thrice.
