they shouldn’t have given any guidance on margins, giving guidance on a business where product prices are fixed and input cost in not under your control is like swimming without pants and thinking nobody would notice.
I would call it a mistake rather than calling them untrustworthy,
the analyst community loves to ask for future guidance including me, one has to put his/her own filters after listening to other people.
