Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Asian equities remained subdued despite US markets inching closer to record highs on hopes of Federal Reserve interest-rate easing. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell by 0.59%, while the broader Topix index eased by 0.30%. South Korea’s KOSPI showed a marginal gain of 0.24%, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 increased by 0.48%. In the US, the Dow Jones rose by 0.3%, the S&P 500 by 0.14%, and the Nasdaq Composite by 0.16%. Crude oil faced a decline after the largest two-week drop, attributed to signs of a US stockpile build and weak technical indicators. West Texas Intermediate traded below $74, while Brent crude remained under $80 per barrel.
