Among the Sensex firms, NTPC, Mahindra and Mahindra, Power Grid, Nestle, Tata Motors, ITC, Bharti Airtel and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the major gainers. In contrast, Larsen and Toubro, Wipro, JSW Steel, UltraTech Cement, and Asian Paints were among the laggards.
