Legislator of Gandey constituency, Ahmed is a three-time MLA, twice from Congress and now from JMM. He had joined JMM just before the assembly elections in 2019. With the resignation of Ahmed, speculation is rife that this could be the alternative plan that Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren is working on.
