A legislature meeting in Ranchi was a show of strength for Hemant Soren, who was expected to resign and his wife to become the chief minister. The meeting took place at the CM’s residence, where 43 MLAs from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) joined. The meeting was a result of JMM MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed’s resignation, which was seen as a safe seat in case of political demands.
