The Delhi High Court directed expelled TMC Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra to approach the Directorate of Estates for permission to retain the government quarters allotted to her, which were canceled after her expulsion. Justice Subramoniun Prasad noted that the rules allow authorities to permit a resident to overstay for up to six months under exceptional circumstances.
