AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and BRS MLC K Kavitha have welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to quashing the Gujarat government’s remission of 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano case. The court criticized the Gujarat government for abusing its power and ordered them to be sent back to jail within two weeks. Owaisi called for the BJP governments in Gujarat and the Centre to apologize to Bilkis Bano and that the rapists should understand that they will not be set free based on their political ideology.
