The Nifty Bank index rose over 100 points to close at 47,360 while the Nifty50 closed 73 points higher at 21,618. Gains were seen in stocks like ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank and Bank of Baroda while some selling was seen in Bandhan Bank, Axis Bank and SBI.
