The AAP and the Congress have reached an understanding to contest the Chandigarh mayoral polls in an alliance. The AAP will fight for the mayor’s seat, while the Congress will contest the posts of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor. The tie-up between the two parties is expected to give them an edge over the BJP in the upcoming polls.
