The Congress expressed strong disapproval on Saturday for the assault on the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Assam, attributing it to “BJP goons.” The party accused the ruling party in the state of attempting to undermine and destroy the rights and justice guaranteed by the Constitution to the people of India. Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress president, asserted that the party will not be intimidated by such tactics designed to harass its members and leaders.
