Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Union Home minister prevented him from interacting with students during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) in Ri Bhoi district. The directive to the university authorities was conveyed through the Assam chief minister’s office, he said. However, Gandhi addressed the students and criticized the BJP for restricting their freedom of expression.
