West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that her party, Trinamool Congress (TMC), will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state independently, without forming an alliance with the Congress. Banerjee emphasized that there have been no discussions with the Congress party and reiterated her commitment to fight alone against the BJP in Bengal.
