Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that he may claim full credit for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Karpoori Thakur. Kumar, who has been demanding the award for his political mentor, thanked the PM for fulfilling his long-standing request. He also spoke about Thakur’s influence on his commitment to the cause of Other Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes.
