Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) months after leaving to join the Congress in April 2023. Shettar, a six-time MLA, had joined the Congress ahead of the state assembly elections but quit after being denied a ticket. He rejoined the BJP in the presence of former CM BS Yediyurappa and state BJP President BY Vijayendra in Delhi
