Former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel was appointed as Senior Observer by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to coordinate Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and other party activities in Bihar. Baghel’s appointment comes amid speculation of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar rejoining NDA. Bihar BJP leaders are scheduled to meet in Patna to discuss the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nitish Kumar has previously switched alliances three times. JD(U) has 45 MLAs in the Bihar Assembly.
