The ‘One Nation, One Election’ panel, chaired by former president of India, Ram Nath Kovind, has sought the views of former CECs, chief justices, political parties, chambers of commerce and the public on the prospect of holding simultaneous elections across all three tiers of the government — panchayats/ local bodies, state assemblies and the Lok Sabha.
