Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut criticised the Election Commission’s decision to recognize Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s faction as the real NCP, alleging that it stabbed democracy in the back. Raut stated that the Shiv Sena and NCP were weakened, as they were the only parties protecting the Marathi identity and fighting against injustice in Maharashtra.
