Parliament approved a groundbreaking bill aimed at tackling malpractices and irregularities in competitive examinations, incorporating strict punitive measures. Union Minister Jitendra Singh emphasized that the bill aims to deter individuals who jeopardize the future of the youth. The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2024, was successfully passed in the Rajya Sabha, featuring provisions for a maximum jail term of 10 years and fines reaching up to Rs 1 crore.
