Japan’s Nikkei 225 index surged 8.85% to 38,025.17, while the broader Topix index rose 0.16% to 2,588.68. South Korea’s KOSPI gained 0.38% to 2,630.48, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index was up 0.6% to 7,593 in early trading. On Wednesday, Wall Street closed significantly higher, with the S&P 500 rising 0.96% to 5,000.62 points, the Nasdaq gaining 1.30% to 15,859.15 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increasing 0.40% to 38,424.27 points.
