Leader of the Samajwadi Party Swami Prasad Maurya has resigned from both his position as MLC and the party. Maurya resigned from his position as the party’s national general secretary on February 13 due to bias and the leadership’s lack of support for his divisive comments about the Ramcharitmanas and the dedication of the Ayodhya temple.
