Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, along with Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chunnilal Garasiya and Madan Rathore were elected to to Rajya Sabha without any opposition. Mahaveer Prasad Sharma, Assembly Secretary, announced their uncontested victories. Tuesday marked the final day for withdrawal of nominations. The three leaders elected faced no opposition due to absence of candidates.
