The Congress launched a campaign to counter the BJP’s charges of misallocation of funds from Hindu temples. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused the BJP of misleading the public and polarizing the people for political gain. The government denied any misallocation and explained the amendments to the Hindu Religious Institutions law.
