Meanwhile, Trinamool leader Ajit Maity, who is a close aide of Shahjahan Sheikh had to take refuge in a neighbour’s house as some women gheraoed his house and protested against him in Sandeshkhali’s Bermajur. After rescuing Maity following three hours of protest, police detained the Trinamool leader.
