With the Lok Sabha polls approaching, both the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP are gearing up their campaign strategies in Karnataka. The recent bomb blast and “pro-Pakistan” slogans have given the BJP ammunition to attack the Congress, while the Congress plans to focus on guarantee schemes and the BJP-led NDA government’s attitude towards the state. Water scarcity and blame trading are also expected to be campaign issues.
