The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a flat note on Thursday following weak global markets, which tumbled after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said a December interest rate hike in the United States is a “live possibility”. At 9.23 am, Sensex was down 57.34 points at 26,495.58. Similarly, Nifty was down 17.90 points at 8,022.30 during the same time.

IDBI Bank: State-owned IDBI Bank on Wednesday said it plans to raise Rs 2,800 crore from foreign investors or public offer, a move that will bring down the stake of the government in the lender. Shares of IDBI Bank closed at Rs 84.80, up Rs 0.24 per cent on the BSE on Wednesday
Essar Ports: Private sector port operator Essar Ports on Wednesday reported a 9 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 104.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 helped by growth volumes and cost optimisation measures. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 96.1 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing. Its total consolidated income rose by 6 per cent to Rs 421.86 crore in the July-September quarter this fiscal from Rs 398.78 crore during the same quarter of 2014-15.
Bank of Baroda: Public-sector lender Bank of Baroda (BOB) has trimmed rate of interest, payable on bulk deposits of Rs 1 crore and above across maturities, by 0.25-0.60 per cent. BOB said that the revision will be applicable to the renewal of existing deposits and fresh deposits, effective from November 5, 2015.
DLF: Realty major DLF on Wednesday said its promoters are likely to sell their 40 per cent stake in the company’s rental arm DLF Cyber City Developers Ltd (DCCDL) by the end of this fiscal. DLF’s net debt has increased by Rs 922 crore during the quarter ended September to Rs 22,520 crore.
Ashok Leyland: Hinduja group flagship firm Ashok Leyland today reported over two-fold rise in net profit at Rs 287 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015. The Chennai-based company had posted a net profit of Rs 121 crore during the same period of previous fiscal. Net sales of the company rose to Rs 4,878.81 crore during the second quarter, as against Rs 3,150.36 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Ashok Leyland said in a filing to the BSE.
Tata Steel: Tata steel will announce its second quarterly result of the financial year ended September 30, 2015.
Reliance Power: Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power today said its board will on Monday consider giving maiden interim dividend to its shareholders.
PNC Infratech: The company reported 18.22 per cent drop in consolidated net profit at Rs 17.81 crore for the quarter ended September 30 on increase in depreciation on account of Kanpur-Kabrai BOT project.
Reliance infra: Reliance Infrastructure today reported 4.62 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 451.13 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015-16, on higher income.
Bata India: The footwear major on Wednesday reported a 38.74 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 54.11 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation: The public sector has registered a 32.4 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 343.40 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, 2015.
Omaxe: The realty firm reported a 40 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 19.46 crore for the quarter ended September.
Fortis Healthcare: The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 33.98 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.
