“Polls in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted in seven phases but it has double the population of Bengal. Then it should have been done in 14 phases,” Trinamool Nation spokesperson Sukhendu Sekhar Ray said, adding, “Seven phase polls in Bengal in a way maligns the image of Bengal. They could have given 42 phases for 42 seats.”
