Tension arose in Nagarathpete as the BJP protested the assault on a trader allegedly for playing ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ during Azaan. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and MLA S Suresh Kumar were briefly detained. Five arrests have been made, with one more pending, related to the incident.
